Peace and reconciliation. While easy to say as a goal, as a reality it remains one of humanity’s enduring challenges.
Here and overseas, our members strive each day to bring our world a little closer to these critical goals. Their work includes:

Removing landmines after the soldiers have left and helping victims cope with the loss of limbs

Engaging urban youth in ways that strengthen family and community

Standing with those whose liberties are being denied

Teaching and using non-violence to bring about enduring change

Addressing the causes and consequences of collapsing nation states

Encouraging philanthropy

Continuing the struggle to diminish the risk of nuclear war

And much much more.
No single act will end the scourge of war or the cruelty of intolerance. But we can make a difference, as our members demonstrate both around the world and in our own communities.
